Either differential lockers or limited slip diff. Diff. lockers to me are the best way to go if you have the $$$ usually just one in the rear will do.

I thought that looked familiar...is that the gated off property that you have to know someone to get onto ? Can't remember the name of it but I used to wheel there years and years ago when I had Jeeps.
Traditional Florida wheeling. Lots of sand, mud & water.

I now wheel rocks up in 'Bama, Ga, etc... Lots more fun, I just do it less because of the distance & $$$.

Get yourself an Aussie Locker for the rear. Relatively cheap & easier to install than the other options.

Pic of my last mudding excursion years ago in Palatka Fl. That mud stained my softtop and never did come out completely. What a pain to clean!

Yep its a gated community type deal it was fun though it was a little dry considering how it usually is, but fun none the less.

I remember now...suburban estates is the place...

Pic of my old Grand Wagoneer out there, the section called the "island" there is a little island in the middle of this big muddy / watery field that can hold about 15 trucks or so on it. I don't have any pics of the island itself...

Sure.
ONLY put it on the rear axle though. They do make them for the fronts, but you will only tear up stuff in your IFS and road manners will be dangerous locking the front.

It will make "ratcheting" sounds going around corners, and that is normal. The Aussie locker is typically quieter than the other lockers of this type.

I drive my '87 with the Aussie on the street all the time. Again, some ratchiting on corners, some squeal of tires on real tight turns like pulling into / out of parking spaces.

You will have to adjust your driving style a bit. You'll get used to it and it will be 2nd nature after a short time.

It will be the single best advancement in your ability to go farther and get stuck deeper in the woods than any other investment you can make to your truck. :thumb3:

Looks like fun!
But that truck is in desperate need of the right mods to handle those situations. A 4" susp lift, some grabby 33's, and proper gearing will definitely make it more capable.

Yup, and I love it!
Kept all the crap out, including strong thunderstorms we get here in Florida.

Only problem I have is I wish the rear quarter near the tailgate extended down further. I can get water in when I wash the truck.

Those mud stains are still there....

I'll never put the hard top back on, so anyone need a hard top?
