Westin Safari Bar installed

I got a black westin safari bar and installed it, looks good, I was also able to keep my skidplate due to a little bracket modifcation, it is now mounted to the bottom of the safari bar and I regain use of my tow hooks which is good. I also put Hella Black Magics on there too, I will post pics later today.

It looks great.....Pics are a little dark and I hope You will post some more made in a daylight.. Right now I'm searching all threads to get some ideas and chose which bull bar to buy and it is not easy... Your setup looks really sharp and I have to do some search on those lights You have because I like the idea of them being black when they are off...It must look great...

How far do your lights stick out from the front of the bar? I like the look, but would be concerned that the lights would become the primary contact point if some careless moron kissed bumpers.

I forgot I had this pic, a pic of the Toyota OEM foglight switch that i am using for my Hella lights on the safari bar

I thought the Westin bar was too skinny so I went with the T&H bar.

Do you have a part # for that switch? I'm getting lights tomorrow and would like more of a stock look for the switch.

The part # is 00550-35976. I got it from partznet.com for about $10. If you look at the following link there is a little description of it.

It was fairly easy to install, i just had to shave a little off the switch to fit it in the hole because the holes have rounded edges and the switch is rectangular but it wasnt a big deal.

How well has the powder coat on the Westin been standing up to pitting and rust? That's the main problem I had w/ the Manik Brush Guard I had on my JGC.

Thanks for the comments. The powder coat is fine now but I havent had it on that long so we shall see I guess.

You should specify Westin safari bar because there is a Westin Bar that is shaped/sized a lot like our T&H. I agree with you about looking too skinny in some pics, but live4swell's looks a little beefier for some reason. My main reason I don't like the safari bar is because I don't like how it cuts right through the lower grill.

BUT, live4swell's looks like the best safari bar I've seen. I thought other people's actually looked tacky (sorry, just my opinion), but live4swell is definitely an upgrade and actually looks pretty good. Maybe it is the lights and skid......whatever it is, I'm impressed. Good job man.

Thank you very much...I think the skid plate definitely adds to the look of it, they work well together...I got it to fit perfectly too which is nice.

Do you know if your bull bar tubes are 2.5" or 3"? Performance Products offers both sizes and I want to get the size you have on your 4Runner.
BTW-Do you still like everything about the setup~would you do anything differently?

That is what I thought~2.5". Glad to hear you like it! Personally, it is one of my favorite "clean" almost factory look for a bull bar. Now I have to sell my wife on the idea!
