Westin Safari Grill

Is there a way to install a westin safari grill with a skid plate already installed? I think it would be a good addition but I don't want to lose the skid plate. I just have the basic skid plate, here's a pic of my 4runner.

yes it has been done but you will probably have to modify or make some brackets.

i simply pulled out the old fashioned hack saw, tape measure and quickly removed the parts of the skid plate that were in the way

yes. it may just be a matter of getting slightly longer bolts and "stacking" the brackets. It also shouldnt be too hard to attach the skid plate to the westin bar itself near the brackets using little things you could get at home depot.
I would say buy the westin and the skid plate then you can visually see what you need to do. if it doesnt work return one of them or sell it on ebay.

I already have the skid plate installed (picture at the top of the thread). I'm thinking about getting the Jaos skid bars, both front and rear. So before I spend $700 on each bar I want to see if the front one will fit with the skid plate on, otherwise i'll just get the rear skid bar.

I dont know about the rest of the installations I've seen on this page, but as far as I know, on my 2003 LTD, the westin safari bar attaches to the bumper mounts and the skid plate attache to the frame. sorry no pics. but one other thing. the skid plte should go behind the safari bar, not underneath it.
