wet carpet - evap drain hose

I've had wet carpet under the floor mat on the passenger side for a while now and finally figured out where it's coming from. I think...

The AC evaporator hose seems to be leaking but I can't see why. The hose coming out of the fire wall in the engine compartment is gone but I blew it out with compressed air and then poked a piece of chord in it about 6 inches. No sign of any blockage. I then ran the car with the AC on and condensation is dripping out the drainage nipple but it's still also leaking in the cabin. The hose from the evap box seems fine but maybe the seal is just gone. Can I just put seal it up with some silicone and put a hose clamp on it...?

Checked the sunroof drains and they are clear also.

If I can't stop the leak I plan to see if I can pull the evaporator box apart and clean it when I get a chance.

(The bottom pic is the floor with carpet pulled back showing the little "sponge" around the drainage hose that is soaked and water dripping down behind the carpet.)

Silicone and a hose clamp should be a fix. That hose should run out of the car and leak outside though..

Yeah I wish would too but I'm really not sure how to make that happen without pulling the evap box out and from what I've read there's not a way to do that without taking the dash apart. Unless I can get it just loose enough to put a longer hose on...?
