After anxiously waiting for six weeks these babies finally showed up late last week. Installed them over the long holiday weekend.

Very happy with the end result!

Colors - Base #26 Dark Brown
Piping #235 Mocha

Looks great! I think I waited about the same for mine. Maybe a little less. Were you part of a group-buy somewhere?

If you have never ordered from AutoAnything | Auto Accessories & Aftermarket Parts | Truck Accessories & Car Accessories - Floor Mats, Tonneau Covers & Car Covers, you can do pretty well on the Wet Okole covers using that site, and the new customer discount.
 
When you put yours in, does you feel you sit higher in the seat now? Its taken me quite some time to get accustomed to the new covers. The seats just didn't feel right and my eye line out of the truck feels off now. Maybe just me, but I do love the covers. Makes me wish i got the color samples before ordering mine. I went too light for the main color and now i'm always worried about getting them dirty. lol

Oddly enough I get exact same feeling. One wouldn't think the 1/2" of padding would make that much difference but it does.

Personally I like the new seating position. Visability is a bit better.

I'm saving up for a set and my only concern is that done have mentioned they don't breathe very well. Are any of you having this problem, or is it overstated? Don't want to drop $400 on a set only to find myself sitting in a puddle of buttsweat all summer.

I had an '86 4Runner about 12yrs ago. Installed a set of wet okole's front and rear in it. Took me some time getting used to the raised driverseat position due to the 1/2 inch of extra padding.

The 4Runner also had a 6" lift and that extra 1/2 inch of padding became very noticable when I "hopped" into the driverseat. Found myself having to push off the ground a bit harder to get into the new seat. Had no idea a 1/2 inch would become so noticable entering the vehicle...

Glad you mentioned this as this was my only complaint owning them. They did NOT breathe very well. I knew that going in, but wanted to try them for myself. Anything that is waterproof is not going to breathe well just by definition. The covers were great in the winter (since body heat had no where to vent), but were awful in the summer. I'm hot-natured and living in the South doesn't help. Pair that w/ these covers, plus the lack luster AC system in that 4Runner and me and the covers did not get along. Ended up removing them the next summer and sold them to a friend

If your A/C works well then you will be fine. Here in the south where humidity is high in the summers if I ride with the windows down they do cause me to sweat more. As others have said the only draw back of the neoprene is it's lack of breathing well.

Takes quite a bit of work to organize a group buy, especially large ones like TW has. For them, it works though b/c companies like Wet Okole require a large commitment. TW has being doing Wet Okole group buys for years. You don't have to specifically order them for a Tacoma. They can be for anything just as long as you're a member. So I'd say it's much easier just to join there and get in on theirs. The leg work is already done and the reputation is there for them, so why not.

E LOK'D, Where did you get the diamond plate sill plate? Did you make it? It looks great.

The last time I saw a group buy it was 20% off. If you are lucky enough to be military they will give you a 20% discount if you order by phone.

Thanks! I made them. I bought a large sheet of diamond plate from Lowes to finish off the top plate on my rear bumper and ended up having enough left to make sill guards for all 4 doors.
