what am i looking at here?

I found a bracket/mount while i was under the car. its attached to the transmission just opposite of the transfer case. Its doesn't appear to do anything.... ideas?

I don't see the bracket you refer too.

How about reducing the size of the pic & drawing a circle around the part, or draw an arrow to it, something to make it stand out....
