What are fun places to the east to take my 4Runner, wife, 2 year old, and one month o

We’ve been in North County for about 4 years but haven’t explored much to the east. What are some nature spots to take the family, with the child age limitations that I have?

Mt. Laguna is nice. I think there's a public picnic day use area and also a couple campgrounds.

For some reason Tapatalk refuses to send me notifications so I missed this. I was actually there on the 28! If you saw a blacked out 4Runner that was me. My 4R is still stock on suspension and wheels so I have to keep my trails pretty relaxed.
