What are my Take-offs worth?

Never had a set of takeoffs with basically no mileage. Has anyone dumped the OEM's immediately and have a baseline for what I should ask? Will be posting them up locally this weekend.

Took a new '21 TRD ORP home with the TRD Pro wheels last week and put it on jack stands. They have less than 50 miles on them. Will stay there for several weeks while I start my build. It has the black TRD Pro wheels (17 x 7) and Dunlop Grandtrek AT's.

Looks like TireRack has the Dunlop's for $185 per & BAM has wheels on sale for $165 per. I'm thinking I'd like to just sell them turnkey with TPMS and everything.

Is $1K fair? Giving them away?

ETA: For those that can use the benchmark in the future. Listed on Craigslist as a package deal and sold them for $1K within 12 hours. Many requests to separate everything out, but I just didn't want to spend more to get the tires separated and go to the trouble.

The black TRD pro wheels are pretty popular and should sell. Most people buying I imagine don’t want the stock tires though.
 
I get rid of OEM tires on new vehicles often. Usually just the tires by themselves.

I got $100.00 per tire from Discount Tire, for my OEM Dunlop Grandtrek AT20's that came on my TRD ORP.

Could I have gotten more selling myself? Probably. But it wasn't worth the hassle to me.

I'd see what complete wheel/tire sets are selling for on Craigslist or other online-selling media.

That's a good point. I'd prefer to dump them as a package deal, but the tires probably aren't worth much to a person chasing the wheels.
 
From all reviews, the Grandtrek tires are round and roll but are otherwise junky. In your place, I might see if I could get some credit for the new tires you are going to get, and sell the popular rims.


I just bought a takeoff tire and rim together with TPMS still attached, for $100. Granted, it was a snowflake rim and the tire had maybe 20,000 miles on it so yours would probably bring a better price.

Then again, someone may have some really worn tires and those would work for them for awhile… So post them up for a package sale and see what happens. TPMS are a bonus.
 
Contrary to everything I've read on here and other places, I received a lot of requests for additional pictures of the tires, tread depth, etc. I swear everyone was more interested in the tires than anything else. Talking about the dunlap at20s or whatever
 
I think if you are willing to separate the tires and rims you can do better. I've heard something like $300-400 for the tires and the same for the rims, pros will go for a bit extra
 
Around here (utah) new takeoffs on TRD OR wheels go for $5-600. New takeoffs from an SR5 usually are $450-500.

If anyone wants a set east coast nyc lmk I’ll sell them cheap 350 for the set of 4 1800 miles on them brand new still swapped out falken wildpeaks

Seems to me like he gave you a pretty good idea of what they are worth to him...

Not really but okay, if I were trying to sell them on here I'd post a FS ad in the proper section. I was just asking for some suggestions on what I should list them for locally.

I sold my almost new Grandtreks with a local online ad. Don't remember exactly what I got, but I think it was $400. I think the guy that bought them had a used tire store.

You did really well, I probably wouldn't have tried for more than maybe $800. Must have gotten lucky with someone who needed a new set of tires and wheels picking them up for a Toyota application.

Must be a standard price at Discount Tire- the day after I bought my 2019 TRDORP I went to Discount Tire and they gave me $500 for all 5 tires only.
Which I used on a set of 5 KO2's.
