What do you think it's worth?

The FS forum doesn't permit feeler threads, so I thought this would be a better place. I have two 4R ('01 and 19). I use my 01 for everything off road and only occasionally drive the 19. In two years I have driven it less than 5k miles.

2019 TRD ORP
Odo 4,225 mi
Dark gray
Options on window sticker: KDSS, exhaust tip, roof bars
No moon roof (I wanted this for more headroom and long term reliability, my 01 sunroof is broke would cost > $1,000 to repair)
No mods done except windows tinted and TRD OR badging removed from the sides, but I still have them if someone wanted them)
Perfect condition - stays in garage, no body dings/dents, no interior scratches or scuffs
I have changed the oil twice at the dealer (free in the maint. program)


My most recent offers are 38,500 from a dealer, and 43,900 from Carvana. I have not considered Vroom because they don't give you a check when they take the vehicle.

With current car prices I am curious what you all think this vehicle is worth? Also wonder if anyone has recently bought or sold any similar vehicles what price it was?

I think the $43,900 offer is strong. The dealer offer is laughable.
Check with other dealers as they've been beating Carvana offers from what I hear. I sold a 2018 ORD with 43k to a dealer and he matched VROOM's $41,200 offer.

I may have been a little too quick to chime in. It looks like the auction wholesale (MMR) price on that thing is north of $46k.

According to everyone trying to sell on Facebook something like that would be posted for $50k. Will you get it? Maybe, maybe not. If I were you and wanted to sell right now "for the right price" that's where I'd start. Worst case is you have to drop it or someone calls you stupid for trying to post your MSRP $43k vehicle for $50k. Facebook people are good at that.

If you are going to sell it I'd do it quick.
When the economy goes into a "2008 tailspin" soon you'll be looking at $24K offers.

Yep. If you want to sell it, do it soon. I have seen prices starting to slide slightly for used trucks.

Crazy market for sure.

The high prices of used ones is why I bought new. I found an allocated 22 ORP in Lunar Rock with several good options including MTM. I paid msrp which is 47.3k it'll be here in November.

I still have it and just got another price from Carvana. This time over $48,300. Seems crazy since window price was about $41 and I paid $39.5. I hope I'm not being greedy but I might see if Carvana will keep increasing.

If you want to sell, I'd do it right now. It's impossible to time markets perfectly, but I just don't see how offers could get higher than they are currently. If people are patient, they can find a brand new one at MSRP ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As a follow-up, you could accept the offer from Carvana now and then drag your feet on the pickup date. As long as you don't go over 1,000 additional miles you're golden. I sold our IS350 to them and kept pushing out the pickup until we had put 940 additional miles on it haha (waiting for our other car to arrive).

You can accept the offer and keep pushing off "finishing" the deal. Use another email address and wait a week to get another quote, if it goes up then take it. If the quote goes down, you still have the other quote secured. This is what I did with our Highlander and it worked great.

4runners are still expensive up here. there is one listed (2021 TRD PRO with 10k miles on it) for $80K canadian $. there are 3 listed above $70K canadian $ that I can see right now

many 2021s are listed for $60K+ right now. unreal

Don't ignore Vroom. They were highest for my 19 ORP by a couple thou, and the transaction went off without a hitch.

WOW ! $48K ! I wonder what they’d offer for my one owner stock 2010 Trail with 74k miles ?
