What are those lights?

Hey guys. My new 4runner is great.
I am very happy that i bought it.
I have a question. When you turn on the ignition, why is that yellow light turn on?
And if its possible, to disable it.

Are you talking about the Daytime Running Lamps. If so, do a search for DRL and you should probably find several thread about disabling them. I think I also have a link to one of the threads in the first most of the thread linked in my signature.

If it isn't DRLs you are talking about, can you be more descriptive?

Dash lights are recessed deep, therefore hard to see even during the day. In 2004 Toyota fixed this by activating dash lights any time when car is driven.

If you are talking about the lights that turn on when you release the parking brake, those are the DRL's. Being that your truck is new, the dealer should disable them through the computer for free! I actually think they look pretty cool. People can see you coming from a distance.
