Also correct... LiFePO4 in 4S configuration is pretty much a drop in compatible automotive 12v voltages.

It’s less work, more compatible, the noteworthy difference between LiFePO4 and Li-ion is you generally get better power density, lower cost, and more available options with Li-ion.

LiFePO4 cost more, but it also tends to handle cycle abuse better, and often times can handle more cycles too. Its also generally considered a “safer chemistry”

If I was going to build a car battery pack, I would use large format prismatic cells like this if going LiFePO4.

Has anyone on here successfully built a lithium setup? I considered doing it myself and it seemed ideal but gave up once I found out how complicated the charging would become. A Li house battery would be amazing!

How many amp-hours is the LiFePO4 battery you want to charge? e.g. if around 200Ah, then wiring two of the DC to DC chargers in parallel could bring you up to somewhere near the optimal charging amperage of the LiFePO4 battery, but you might then have to limit the continuous charging time off the Toyota OEM alternator to say 20 minutes at a time, to avoid overheating it.
