What color is it?

ok,

I need some help,

what color is this bumper? the valance I can see is black, but what color is the bumper?

its not millenium silver cuz that didnt come in til after 99 and this has got to be a 96-98 color cuz its not fat lip...

is it anthracite??

Thats weird because I have never seen a 96 to 98 bumper that was painted a factory color. I've only seen the dark grey on the base models or the chrome.

Looks like the bumper color that came on Brian2sun's 4runner stock, as it was the only painted bumper color available in the US for 96-98.

That's definitely not Desert Dune.

I've never seen a 96-98 bumper painted from the factory.

It's completley factory, look at it on Brian2sun's truck before the ARB, ive seen these bumpers on other rigs stock.

not the same. its the silver that came on the 2 tone cladding. Brian's is darker

I wonder what other 4runners it would look good on, Its funny that it went on a Desert dune cuz its not black... but its not tan or silver... its just a weird color for a bumper to go with Desert Dune...

Its not Desert Dune, but it came off of a Desert Dune 98' that was in my shop for a new front bumper. I routinely get these left in my shop as the owner doesn't want to deal with getting rid of it. I give them to Shon to get rid of.

Right now he has two. My old fat lip SR5 chrome/black one, and this one.

It did not come off of a Limited. Just a standard SR5 with the gold emblem package.

That couldn't have been painted from the factory. Looks too light to be anthracite and it isn't the same as the silver metallic that came on the cladding of desert dune limiteds (went out and compared the pic to my limited's cladding). Hmm, maybe the previous owner of the bumper painted it thundercloud? I know that it was an 01-02 color, but the owner could have done it them self.
