What color should I re-paint my wheels?

This is an atheistic poll of sorts as to what color I should re-paint my wheels. I did recently paint the wheels but the product I used is not holding up so well. I have a 2002 4Runner that is silver, at this time I’m limited to what I can spray in a rattle can (had great results with the last rattle can job, nearly 3 years). I’ve had good luck with respect to color using the stock color and the dark gray. I’m wondering if gloss white would look ok or just outright horrible on my large bladed wheels, how about bronze or gold. I’ve seen it pulled off on thinner bladed wheels.

thank you for the vote of encouragement, but Shannon and I are on a different level altogether no to mention the rig difference, though I do have AC and Heat.......will take Monster green into consideration.

Going with Duplicolor Stainless steel

Well I've gone and done it now, I watched a YouTube video on how to use Aircraft Stripper......ok that seems easy enough. After 3 applications and a pressure wash this is how much paint remains.... well it's time for professional help and not the therapist kind. I'm going ahead with having the wheels powder coated once and for all. I know some swear by this method and other prefer paint they can change but I'm tired of the constant cycle......So I'm thinking med to dark gray or satin black.

I kinda was interested to see a lighter color... you mentioned gloss white and I think that may not fit, but maybe a lighter gray like that hungwin pic?

I don't think the bronze would look good on a silver truck, but I do like it on black trucks.

Final vote: light gray or black.

Yes I must agree white is out, it does look good on the ricers and only on spoked (thin bladed) wheels. The Silver vehicle doesn't really lend itself to a ton of color options that blend well but I'm with you somewhere between blakc and light gray. Ultimately it will come down to whats in stock.

Yeah, I've been trying to decide what I want to do to my wheels and I've got the same color truck. I think if I go black, I'd just get some steel wheels with a less backspacing(? I always get this confused).

I do like your LC wheels though!

Oh these are fancy LX450 wheels, back spacing for LC and LX450 wheels is 4.5"/./////

Hmm, back in the day I hand sanded the stock LX450 wheels, self etching primer, Duplicolor Dark Gray........3 years later I used the duplicolor Silver that comes in pints for automotive spraying. Needless to say I sanded, primed, and repainted the wheels bright silver and then a clear that didn't do shyt..... paint takes brake dust and grim and won't release it which means it isn't sealed very well, and a month or so later and I'm over the BRIGHT silver. I'm considering media blasting and auto paint with a single stage and maybe a little extra hardener.
