What coolant can be used to replace OEM red coolant?

It seems that the red coolant is hard to find. Any other coolant that can replace the Toyota red coolant (and not causing compatibility problem when mixing with the red)? Mine is a 2003 V8 that has been using only Toyota red.

Any brand that is a Asian/Toyota/Lexus/Scion vehicles formula, it will be red/pink in color, don't mistake a Asian/Honda for the correct coolant.

Walmart usually has several different brands, I have been using their store brand....Super-Tech for years, but I also use the Prestone Platinum if they're out of the Super-Tech, every brand make a "Toyota/Lexus/Scion" red/pink formula, any brand will be fine.

I bought mine off of Amazon and they still seem to have some. I would think a dealership would also carry it

Thanks! I saw the link to supertech @walmart. I was just concerned that some posts said that mixing non-OEM coolant with the red would gel up the coolant.

For genuine Toyota red coolant, $20 is prediluted so it's $40+/gallon concentrated. Amazon is $43/gallon concentrated, then it will come out near $50 after tax. Even Zerex or prestone is about $20-$25/gallon pre-diluted.

That is incorrect, it went from red to pink and still is pink for all Toyotas, the pink is the one that is good for 100k miles!!

Also you never mentioned that the price you quoted for coolant was for undiluted, in the nine years I've had my 4Runner I have never found a source for undiluted pink coolant.

Now the red coolant you can find undiluted....sometimes, but mostly even it is diluted.

Got some concentrated red coolant from a local dealer for $35 a gallon. I always use concentrated as I just buy a gallon of distilled water for 25 cents and mix it myself easily.
