For the past month and a half my check engine light had been bouncing on and off.
I took it to the shop and I didn't get the codes but I was told by the service adviser that my Isc valve needs to be replaced.
Weeks went on and whenever i start my 4runner up in the mornings, the light would come on and my idle speed is higher than normal(around 1000-1200 rpm's) with the engine warmed up.
Then later on the day, either the light will go away or the rpm's will drop back to its normal idle speed (650 rpm's - 750 rpm's)
Today as i was driving back home, i went to go get the mail and my rpm's dropped below 500 rpm and the car pretty much died or stalled out(correct me if I'm wrong).
This is the first time that has ever happened to me. Does this mean that the valve is done and its time to replace it? or is there more to it then just the valve?
Has this happened to your 4runner's?
or am I the only one ?
thanks
