What did everyone pay for their 4th gen?

New guy on the block. Just picked up a ‘04 Limited V8 with 161k miles for $5,000. The interior is a little rough with ripped front seats but all service records are there and she runs great. There is some rust on the frame being a north east car that will need to be addressed. Planning some tasteful mods in the near future. Looking forward to it!

Congratulations. I love that color. And 161K is pretty low for a 4Runner. The seats are an easy fix. You won't ever let go of it, once you drive it for awhile.

Bought an 05 4runner V8 Limiteds for my son in April 2019 with 168k miles for $3000. I put about $1500 into it and alot of elbow grease cleaning it- it sat under a tree for 2 years and had a water leak from a clogged a/c drain tube. Lots of cleaning and buffing. Unfortunately my son wrecked it in Nove 2022.

Purchased his current 07 SR5 Sport V6 4x4 with 125k miles for $4k. I did have to put about $1k worth of work into it- of course labor was free with me doing the work. It now sports a Toytec 2.5 lift with Bilstein 5100s all around. Pic of it below without the lift.

Picked up an 04 V6 SR5 with 120K miles on it for $8500 on Thursday. Overall pretty clean. Looked for one in the Dallas area for a few months and they were all over priced. This one was probably a bit high, but I went ahead due to lack of options and the mileage. Have ordered tires for it (265 70 17's) . Ordering wheels and I think the adjustable Bilstein 5100's for it later today. Replaced one of the climate control bulbs as that was driving me crazy it being out. Also replaced all interior lights with led's. Pulled the mud flaps and running boards off last night. Ordering a radio soon as I hate holding my cell to my ear when talking on the phone. First world problem I know. I picked this up to be my daily as I just finished restoring my previous daily, a 95 Eddie Bauer Bronco.

I got my '05 4Runner 4wd V8 Limited for $11K with 118K miles on the odo back in January. Single owner vehicle, a teacher. She gave it up because of a SAIS failure and rusted cat-back exhaust. When I got it from the dealer, the SAIS bypass had already been done, and I shelled out ~$1K for a magnaflow muffler/exhaust. Added new grill and weather guards since

I paid 13,500 for my 2007 Sport Edition with 175K. Clean title. Initially thought it was stock with 5th Gen wheels but it was also leveled, but not with a simple spacer lift so that was cool.

I bought it during the high market time, or at least when it was going up… I sold my modified 3rd Gen for 10K, 221K miles, reconstructed title but some decent mods and maintenance performed… so I knew I would be overpaying for the next one (4th Gen)

Subscribing. Looking to get into an 06-08 Limited V6 or V8. 4th gens are up in price so keeping my eyes peeled. A good friend of mine bought his 08(?) Limited for $8800 with 189k in 2021 so that's my frame of reference for now.

2003 Limited purchased in 2019 for $10k with 185k miles all stock, rust is 6/10 overall, blown speakers, and cracked leather. Definitely not a "great" deal in most areas, but here in western Washington it is.

this was in 2021, 2006 limited V8 4wd with 52,800 miles (give or take 100)
1 owner, garaged in southern Nevada, 1 accident reported but i couldn't get too many details. Bumper to bumper looked like it was taken from a toyota dealership in 2006 and placed in the parking lot, i couldn't believe it.

Paid $12.5 k for a 2007 SR5 with 125k miles. Single owner, all dealer maintenance recorded, with no rust! Tires and brakes nearly new. Had to look through about 12 vehicles before finding minimal rust. Live in VA but many vehicles from up north.

$11,900 for a 2005 Sport V8 4wd with 137k miles. One owner, no rust, but a few prior minor accidents. There's a few missing body clips and screws here and there that need to be sorted, but generally in pretty good condition. Brakes are about due, hood struts are shot.

Picked mine up a couple months ago for $8,500. Its a 2006 4x4 V6, I'm the 3rd owner, the frame is immaculate. Mileage was 264k, no dents or dings, no scratches at all, just some worn clear coat on the rear liftgate.

I got mine for free! It's a 2003 with 90k on it. My mother-in-law was going to trade it in for a new Rav-4 and they only offered her $2k. I told her I would buy it and she just gave it to me!

I did have to put in quite a bit of sweat equity though, I had to strip and de-rust the entire frame before coating it with POR-15. But she should be good to go for a while now.
