What did everyone pay for their 4th gen?

I traded in my 2011 Impreza 2.5 Premium (27k miles) and for a 2005 4Runner Limited (V6, 118k miles). I bought the Impreza due to being a divorce and I had to trade in my '06 Tacoma that I had for 6 months and it caused me rolled over $,$$$ into the new loan. Well after 1.5 years and paying extra on the car, I paid down a good portion of the loan. But I wanted something more for me and I wanted something with a "cheaper" payments.

I purchased the 4Runner for "$14,000".
I still owed $18,000 on my Impreza and the dealer gave me $16,500 for it.
GAP, Tag & Titling (in MD you just pay the difference when trading in cars) was around $500.
In the end, I purchased the 4Runner for $16k and it reduced my payment by $100/month with the same amount of terms left as I had on the Impreza.

I guess I can throw my hat in the ring.

Picked up a 2004 2wd Limited V8 for 12k. Only has 88000 miles on it. I have a FJ with an OME lift installed so I already had the stock suspension that I can throw on. Going to order some bilsteins soon and do the timing belt in the next couple months.

I think I did OK for the price. Taxes will put me just under 13k. No way I could have got that from a dealer.

According to my mechanic and some of my friends. Almost everyone here including me over paid for their 4runner. He said my 4runner wasn't worth more than 6 to 7K :wtf:

I dont think people overpaid. Its about supply and demand. 4runners are in demand because they are great trucks so the demand is pushing the price up, usually non-4runner ppl think they are over priced but we know when we are looking what they are worth.

2005 2WD Limited 82K

$17,400, but it is immaculate. Carfax shows nothing but oil changes and a brake job. I expect to have this truck for another 10 years.

22k. It's a 2005 I bought used in 2008. It had 28,000 miles on it. It was certified one owner so the drivetrain was good till this year. Silver SR5, moonroof, the works. That was after the downturn in the economy. I just hit 68K and change. And still have the original Panasonic battery.

Thanks for this info. I've got my '05 4x2 limited w/borla and 70k miles plus a few little extras priced at $16,900. Also immaculate. This confirms i'm priced right. I've got a lot of interest but nobody has put a deposit down yet. it's only been for sale about a week though.

2006 SR5 4x4

Paid 17,200 out the door for my '06 with 69k miles and tow package, with cloth seats, and automatic rear window and moon roof. Drove 4 hours North to get it.

Paid $15k flat for my 2007 Limited 4x2 in perfect condition with only 100,301 miles in Feb 2012. She had brand new tires, service history showed maintenance on time and all major and minor service done at dealer.

It was a local Socal Runner, so no rust or faded paint or a single scratch inside or outside

Just got my first 4runner! Paid $13,377 plus tax / tag / dealer fees. It's a 04 white se v8 with jbl and 1 month warranty, I feel like if I spent more time and looked around I could have gotten a better deal, but no regrets! I love my new whip :-)
