What did everyone pay for their 4th gen?

Just purchased a 2003 V8 SR5 4WD 2 weeks ago with 180k for $6,900. Although the vehicle was a smokers car and had a few scratches, the body is almost dentless and the car has a clean title. I took my autobody mechanic friend with me and all VINs on the panels match up with no noticeable body repairs. All parts seem to be original. Carfax had tons of service records through 1 dealership showing that the previous owners took great care of it through the dealership.

Besides it being a smokers car, I'm pretty happy with the purchase considering what was listed on the market. I've already gotten a full exterior and interior detail to bring some shine back in to the old paint and get rid of the smell.

Just closed the deal on a 2007 V8 Sport 4x4 from a private party local listing. Black with 128k miles, meticulous maintenance records (new tires, brakes, diff + transmission fluids, and timing belt at 90k) for $12,300 all said and done. Paid $65 for a dealer PPI and she needs nothing!

Looking to install a backup cam and update the speakers - but that's it! Feel like both parties were happy.

Was more than I wanted, but I've been looking for a 4th gen for close to 3 years and this is the best condition one I've seen (for sale) in Canada.

It's good to be back in a 4Runner, but I'm not looking forward to selling my Tacoma...

Needs nothing but an ipod adapter that's already on order.

They're 18" Ultra Splines that the previous owner put on with brand new Michelins. I might be able to sell the tires to get something better when I start lifting it. I put a Billstein 5100/Moog lift on my last Runner so might do that again but not sure what type and size of tires I should put on these rims if I max out the Billies. I'm leaning towards KO2s but open to suggestions.

Mine is a 2006 Limited. Suffice to say mine is probably worth the same as when I bought it in March of 2014 and have since added 25K miles

I bought my 04 SR5 with nuttin extra for $8,500.
It had close to 200k on it, but still in great shape.

I paid 12500.00 for a 2007 115k 4x4 limited. In February of 2015.

I flew from Portland to Cincinnati to buy it and drove it back in a three day weekend.

I found it using auto tempest. Started looking in November of 2014 for Tacoma /4runner.

Prices hover between $8K and $10K in the general Los Angeles area. If I can get mid 9's I'd be happy. But a dealer trade in could work depending on what they're willing to do for a new 4Runner.

just got my 06 limited, v8 with nav. 100k miles, im the 3rd owner. was $18k OTD.

found out during the test drive the 4wd low actuator was bad, they agreed to fix.
suckers!

i think they'll end up losing money on this deal.:happy:

Bought last Saturday

Just bought my first 4Runner last saturday.

2004 4Runner Limited V8 4x4 133K miles Silver in Dallas. I paid $9900 cash for it, no taxes since it's being registered in Alaska.. It had a couple of minor cosmetic things like missing one of the mats, a couple of small chips in the window and one headlight has some fog in it but mechanically it was perfect and i've never been under a used vehicle with so little rust. I'll be driving it up to Alaska here in another month.

Thanks! I did do research on that, pretty neat stuff. But after 2 weeks of good cleaning and several boxes of baking soda, the car's smelling pretty normal now.

08 Limited

Bought my first T4R almost exactly a year ago. Was looking for a Taco, but couldn't find one with everything that I wanted. Good buddy of mine kept telling me to get a T4R, and man am I glad I listened to him. Absolutely love my T4R. It is an 08, had 106,xxx miles on her when I bought it. Limited, 4WD leather seats, heated seats, moonroof. Just over 21K out the door.

Got mine last year. 2007 SR5 4WD V6 with 54K Miles in NH. $16K + MA Taxes/Tags. Since then, I've taken the running boards off, replaced the gas cap and cabin filter. I also had Toyota remove the skid plates (frozen bolts), check everything (incl. diff, trasfer case & trans fluid levels), and grease the driveline. +$200 for that and all is well. The PO had a remote starter installed, and I'm going to put in 1" lift spacers up front to level things out. So far, so good...

Just joined even though I drove a Gen 3 for 2 years...
Just bought a 2008 Silver Sport Edition 2WD for $15750 with 83600 miles
It has:
Black Leather including steering wheel and shift knob
Stone Gray Carpet

Excellent paint and was always garaged
tow package
fog lights
DRL
Sunroof
Rear Cargo second level
Newish Michelin MS Tires with lots of tread (Roughly a $1000)
Was serviced at Toyota regularly... has a newish Toyota Battery in it.
The paint is almost perfect, the headlights had a little haze... the interior is close to mint and pretty sure no one ever sat in the back seat.
I feel like I might have paid a little too much but, it is clean and is a perfect color combo for me. I could drive it for 2 years and sell it with 110k miles and still get 13500 for it... so... not a bad deal.
Have since done:
Amsoil severe gear 75/90 in the diff
DRL switch
Mobil 1 5w30 extended and a mobil 1 extended filter
Low beam headlight mod (H11 bulbs?)
wet sanded the headlights
2 coats of meguires gold class carnuba
leather treatment
new floor mats
ordered the B bulbs for the AC control....
contemplating a radio change
Ceramic tint ($400... OUCH)
