I think my '03 Limited V8 with around 115k was $9k-something about 1.5 years ago. Seemed a little steep but was within the range of what they were selling for around here. It was one owner and dealer maintained. No carfax record of timing belt so he took off almost $1k for that. Went on ToyotaOwners.com and it says it was done. So I am kinda playing Russian roulette right now...

Wow! That's good to know and makes me feel good about purchasing mine 6 years ago for $18000, so that goes to show you the value for the 4Runner holds its own!

I paid 12.5 for a 2006 SR5 4WD with 99k, one owner, and an extensively documented service history. The actuator was jammed up so it would not shift into 4lo so they offered to knock off 1k, but I negotiated with the garage and they wound up replacing the entire transfer case. Now everything works perfectly. They were originally asking 12.9 so I like to think I got a good deal. What do you guys think?

Sunday I am looking at an 08 SR5 V6 4WD has sunroof with 37K miles on the clock with an asking price of $22,000. Vehicle was serviced at the dealer about every 5k and was a one vehicle owner in Pennsylvania (Rust Belt / Salt Belt Country).
However now this 4Runner is for sale here in Washington State. Looks like the small used Car Dealer bought it at an Auction, and must of had it shipped across the country.
Any good suggestions on a fair counteroffer on price if the vehicle checks out to be in good condition (little if any rust, 4WD Hi, Lo activates, no check engine light etc...)
Service Records indicate actuator froze at one point in time but fix/repaired. Brakes had to be replaced around 30k
NADA states about $17.5k
Kelly Blue Book States: $17.5k
Carfax reports and Cargurus give a retail value of about $20.5K

Here in upstate NY the prices on 4th gens range anywhere from 5k-15k depending on mileage and condition.
Everyone thought I was crazy spending that on a car with so many miles but changed their mind when they drove in it.

That's happened to me quite a bit already, not so much for the miles but just because "it's 10 years old" :laugh:
Paid 10.5k for a 2005 Salsa Red V8 Sport 4WD with 140,000 on the clock. One owner, purchased new in SLC, had it serviced at the local Toyota dealer it's entire life. Some frame rust from life in Utah, mostly just on the welds, only serious spot is on the cross member near the spare tire.

That's fukkin gorgeous.. I never could find a a Salsa Red for myself..Bought my 2005 v8 sport salsa red with 161k for 11250 in august of last year. 2 owners. Great truck with a ton of service records since 2005. Now at 187k, she still shines up pretty damn good. Definitely worth spending a little extra cash for a solid truck.

I just bought my first runner about a month ago, $10k out the door
2007 Limited V8 4WD.
I'm the 4th owner at 165K miles, she spent her life up in NY and is now down south so the rust is unusual to everyone around here but I think she'll hold up fine.
The PO put a 2" spacer lift, bull bar, and remote start on it
