What did everyone pay for their 4th gen?

$1500.00 + licensing (White, 2004 V8 SE)
It needed/needs a lot of work.
I completely ripped out all of the interior fabric (headliner and carpet) and then replaced it with multiple coats of Raptor truck bed liner.
Hoping my new bumper from Shrockworks arrives this month!
For maintenance... I did a new timing belt, brakes, tires, and battery (AGM for when I add a winch).
I'm having a hard time finding a rear bumper... Would love suggestions!

Seems a decent price. I just paid $10,869 for an ‘07 Limited V8 with 172k. Body and interior are excellent. And it runs so fine...Undercarriage has some surface rust that I plan on treating but the skid plate is shot. It’s been maintained every 5k at a Toyota dealer by the 3 previous owners over the past 14 years. I am happy with my purchase as the V8s are pretty rare around here. It is so smooth as is the transmission.
It looks like you have a copy of mine except the cladding is nice and dark.
I sure love mine, so much so that I have put 80k miles on it. Just hit 241k. Aiming for 500k!

How do you guys have the courage to buy 03-05 4 runners with higher miles? Is it a crapshoot with the HG issue? I’m afraid I will buy one with this issue but it’s taking so damn long to find a 4x4 v6!

More afraid of the frame rusting out than the HG causing serious issues. Check the radiator fluid levels and pull the middle spark plug on each side of the engine to see if they're fluid in there. You can also look at the condition of the headers to see where youre at.
I paid about 4.5k for my 04 SR5 with 170K on it. Paint is still shot, wheel bearings were on their last legs. Needed tires. Spare tire mount is almost rusted out. Had the original spark plugs in it. ETC. All minor stuff.. you just have to weigh how much it costs to fix some of the problems to how much you are willing to pay for the vehicle.

I just purchased my 2005 Limited V8 - 2WD (I don't mind not having 4WD, I'm more about road trips out here in the SW). It had 198k miles for $7500 from a Private Seller, I drove 400+ miles from Vegas to get it too. 1 owner and all maintenance records provided. I had a pre-purchase inspection done and the mechanical results and photos were amenable to me - NO RUST and overall great shape, I was determined to get it. Owner is a retired Navy fellow that was stationed in San Diego before retiring to the Palm Desert. Granted the paint is shot and I'm replacing the front struts and rear shocks and getting an alignment, but I really don't care - I am in love.

I paid $11k for my 04 V8 in ‘17 it had 101k miles on it but the title is a rebuild title. I took it to a body guy buddy of mine and had him look it over. The work done to it is mediocre at best. The driver door and rocker panel should’ve been replaced instead of repaired. There’s an obscene amount of dbl sided tape holding the molding onto the rocker and filling the gaps. The frame was straight and suspension all sat where it was supposed to. I was a little hesitant to purchase it but all the other non rebuilt Runners were just too much for me at that time. Now she’s got almost 190k miles on it and has never let me down in the slightest! Definitely not the prettiest Runner out there but she looks damn good from afar!

I paid $6500 for my 2005 Toyota 4Runner v8 Sport with 175K on her
I’m looking at a ‘05 4x4 Limited Sport with 90k and the guy is asking $16,500. Any thoughts if this is reasonable? I’m on the fence but there is no rust and timing was already replaced.
I had an ‘07 2wd with 110k that I paid $11k for but had to sell. Sure miss that thing...

That’s not a great price, but also not terrible if rust free.
I just paid $13,900 for my 4WD 08’ V6, rust free, 116k miles, and spotless inside and out. Found it on Auto Trader 6 hours away.
