What did you do with your classic T4R today?

Hello all! New around these parts. Picked up this tired but decent '92 a few weeks ago.

For today all I actually did was remove the stickers from the back and work on ripping out the big thumping stereo system wiring from the previous owners. By no means the worst I've ever seen, but I'd rather have the cargo space than rattle the windows

However, that leads me to a question, the wire running from the main fuse block under the hood to the positive terminal of the battery is too short. It was cut by the previous owner for their install, and the wire was brittle, so I broke it too, meaning I had to cut and re-crimp a new connector. It barely reaches the battery. So, the question is, can I remove the fuse block and run a new wire without too much trouble?

Thankfully damage is light, but shop wrote a $1500 estimate for the bumper replace and tailgate dent. Hope it doesn't total.

Noooo! Don't let them total it. You have to get used parts as bumper and tailgate are no longer made. A tailgate and glass seem to go for about $650 and I got a perfect used OEM rear bumper for $200 shipped from eBay, but you might want to get a hefty aftermarket bumper. You can fix it yourself for way less than $1500.

Tuesday Feb. 7th, I stopped by RPM FAB in Tempe to check on my new plate bumpers. RPM is designing front and rears for the 3rd gen...Being new to this, I need to figure out how to post pics..The work is amazing, and I hope to show you all soon.

Yesterday the 8th, I picked up the spare rim from powder coat and got it mounted in preparation for the new swing spare tire carrier

After looking and reading all of the Satoshi mod threads, I finally started on mine.

Fixor ignore the dent and spend the rest of the money on off-road bumper/armor.

Did the glass break? The damage does look easily fixable. It took me a couple of weeks to find an excellent OEM rear bumper but I do really think a hefty aftermarket would be a good investment. It looks like a nice 4Runner.

The glass is fine. And the dent didn't even chip the paint, so I could probably find someone to PDR the dent.

I have thought about an aftermarket bumper. I just don't know whether I want to stay mostly stock or go down the built road.

Yes, it rains in Southern California so, while my seam sealing project is on hold, I can't help but do little things to the truck...
I tested my concept for added side-marker lights that double as turn signals for enhanced visibility and safety... here

Restore the plastic interior trim pieces by the seatbelt holders (yea, I'm particular with the small detail like this lol) and replace the stock steering stabilizer with OME.

How much better is the driving with the OME? Mine is real old, but I wasn't sure what a new one would do.

I repainted the rear panel where I hit something. It'll never be the same, but oh well:

Today I stripped the hard line flare nut, on the head of the nut AND the threads going to the clutch master cylinder. :ybrick: I think it may have been put in cross threaded in the first place and forced tight with some grips sometime in its life. I guess I get to take my first crack at double flaring next.
