Unfortunately (as you can see from pictures in the link) that I was a little rough on the old gal, so now I have the 4runner for comfort & mpg and the Z for fun.

Drove an '08 Outback XT most recently. It was a fun car and pretty fast, but I got tired of the manual transmission and needed something a little bigger for work.

Before that, F250 4x4 Diesel (The Red Menace). Put some serious miles on it but then started having weird electro-mechanical issues. Sometimes I miss it.

Before that...

Ford SportTrac 4x4, Mustang, Nissan Pulsar SE, Chevy S10, VW Rabbit.

I traded in a 2008 GMC Yukon, piece of CR**! 500 miles the tranny went and at 8,000 miles the rear main blew. Traded it in for $35K which I paid for it new and got my 06 4R V8 w/ 31,500 miles. LOVE IT.

Ok for real I drove a '93 Mitsu Eclipse GSX that I bought as a 2nd owner back in '95 with only 20k on the odo so it was nice and unmolested plus the aftermarket was just figuring things out with these cars so I was riding the first wave of import dragracing especially out here in Denver. It was my DD set up with just simple bolt-ons and ran a very reliable 400crankhorse and hit high 12s up here at 5800ft which just nudged out Viper GTSs by the end of the 1/4 mile. I collected over 400 timeslips on the stock driveline outside a ACT2600 clutch. I miss the track and the car but I don't miss the maintenance and my bank account is healthier.

While I miss high horsepower my 4Runner along with off roading has kept me quite happy with my vehicle change.

started with a Porsche 944, then moved to an 88 MR2 with a blacktop JDM engine... still have it as the track car.

As secondary/dd cars durign those I had a Jeep Liberty, Dodge Neon, 2004 Jetta TDI (upped to 274ft/lbs. at the wheels), 1993 full size Blazer, and my 2004 4runner. I also have my 1949 Chevy Fleetline (restored) and a 2005 Altima V6 for the wife.

My love of Toyotas caem form my brother's old 4runner though. Even after beating it senseless offroad it just took it and laughed...

We bought our 06 a year ago, used, with 45k on the odo and in perfect shape. We love it.

Traded in an 08 Accord Sedan. It was a fine car, big inside, efficient, but we wanted something to haul around a big dog crate in the back of every day, as well as for future towing use.

Just about to turn 70k now and the truck has been perfect, needing only regular maintenance. The V8 is literally twice the engine we had in the Accord and I love the power of it. No regrets on the trade whatsoever.

Dodge Stratus ES 1998 - Driven for 3 months. Transmission problem.
