Actually I think they don't make them anymore because if you forget to attach the lap belt and get in a crash it's worse than having no seatbelt at all. These give false security to drivers instead of making it easier to remember your seatbelt. Lawsuits galore...

Is there a year around yours that didn't have them? Maybe you can retro fit.

Acutally, they were an option in the early '90's for the manufacturers. They were mandated to have either automatic shoulder belts, or air bags. Both of the '91 Honda Accords we owned had them because they didn't have air bags. A year or two later they switched to air bags and went to the manual combined shoulder/lap belt.

my 93 integra had auto seatbelts. I took them out and put in manual seatbelts from the canadian model 2nd gen teg. Everything bolted right up. welded everything in place and was good to go.

Nice car, but any way those dreaded automatic seat belts can be swapped out?

I actually have a set of manual belts from europe for the corrado. they cut weight, electrical problems, and head scalpings. my only hesitation is that the auto belts are honestly the most comfy belts i've ever used. on a regular seatbelt, when you lean forward, your chest pulls the slack from the reel AND your lap (to a smaller degree). after doing that a few times, you can get too tight in the lap, and that is a feeling that really bothers me for some reason. when lap and chest operate independently w/ their own reels, this NEVER happens. its a toughy for me...
