No never a reliability issue.. I had an 2004 when they first came out. Traded it after 25K miles, then got an 2006 and traded it after 15K miles, my last was the 2008 and got rid of it after 40K miles. So I've put 80K miles on Titan's and never had 1 issue with reliability.

If people mention rear ends. Never had that problem with any of them. I would dump the factory and put in AMSOIL right after purchase..

i have heard that titans are terribly unreliable. how many miles were on yours before you sold it?

idk if its fair to say you put 80k miles because each one got newer with less miles when you started driving it.... normal ppl usually buy something and drive it 80k miles or more till they get something new. at least thats how ppl do it where i live. but at the 80k mile mark, when any brand pickup should still be in good working order, titans start to fall apart.

started with a loaner 1994 plymouth voyager minivan from my parents till i could afford my own car.
first car that i bought was a 1990 honda civic si hatchback
next was a new 2003 honda civic si hatchback
than i grew up a little and bought a 2005 subaru legacy gt sedan (i miss this car dearly)
traded that last december for my 2008 4runner. love it but still want my toy back

2004 Mazda 6i Sport Edition bought: 42k miles sold: 94k miles
2007 Jetta S 2.5 bought: 150 miles totaled: 2100 miles
2007 Audi A4 bought: 17k miles sold: 93k miles

Now I have the 4runner, hate the gas mileage compared to the other 3 cars but wouldnt trade it for anything. Love my T4R

I'm not going to spit on a great truck (Titan) The thread was "What did you drive before your 4runner"

well i have seen first hand a buddies litterally fall apart, and he isnt the only one because i have heard of others to do this too. i was just asking cause i like the titans and wished they werent what i have seen and heard. dont know why your getting mad

I still have mine 97 Rav4 it was also my first car! It has a celica header, mapecu2, misc TRD things, sways, and a custom intake. I also drove alot of HD diesels (cummins, Dmax, PSD) for work before I got Lucario (my 4runner) if that counts.

My understanding is that Nissan has been using parts out of the Dodge/Chrysler bin to make their Titans, whichto me explains a lot about the issues I've heard in passing.

I drove a 1982 Mazda RX7 a my first car, wrecked that beyond repair ( most of what was left is being rebuilt onto an '84 chassis), then I owned Zombie Truck a 1993 Chevy S10 Blazer LT trim, and now my '04 4runner Sport Edition V8 4WD.

Not mad 4Runner. To each their own. I just never had a problem with any of the 3 I had. So, I can't complain or say they were a bad/unreliable truck.

You are the only other person I've ever seen who took the chrome moldings off the side, like I did my 99 Z71, nice work, beautiful truck!

Traded this in for the 4R, I needed more room for my munchkins!
