1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme...diesel. Yes, diesel.
1992 Mercury something or other...it was terrible.
1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4X4
1998 Honda Civic EX...now being driven by bro-in-law with 225,000 on clock
2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo...now being driven by my neighbor
2003 Audi A4 Avant w/Sport Pkg...man I miss this car but had to either feed and clothe my kids or keep fixing it!
2001 T4R SR5 Sport...current DD and love it!
2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L with RES...wife's bus to haul our 4 kids around in.

I totally understand what you mean! I miss my S4 Avant so much but dang did it have issues and it was soooo expensive to fix. They crammed a 4.2L V8 under the hood and to do anything they had to PULL THE ENGINE. I'm not kidding. Major PITA to fix but it was the funniest car to drive.

First vehicle was a 1998 Infiniti QX4 and last vehicle was a 2002 Land Rover Discovery 2 - lots of mods and offroad worthy. Traded the Land Rover, piece of **** but nice when/while working. lol. My two favorite vehicles ever, Toyota Land Cruiser and a Land Rover Defender.

1995 Toyota Tacoma (Had 283,000 miles, my brother-in-law hit a deer in it last month.)
1972 Pontica Ventura II (350 bored .40 over, Holley 650 Carb. Hooker Headers. restoration project with my dad when I was 18)
1999 Land Rover Disco II (2 1/2" OME Lift, ARB brush guard with Warn winch. Head on collision In January, walked away without a scratch.)

I was the proud owner of a white 2008 4Runner Sport V8, but found a TRD edition FJ at the local dealership that caught my eye a couple of months ago and gave in to the impulse. Needless to say, the FJ wasn't a happy family purchase, and my wife didn't stop talking about how much she missed the 4Runner. I finally gave in and traded back to a 2008 V8 4Runner. SR5 and shadow mica this time, but I'm glad to be back in a 4Runner. Now we're ready to throw some kids in the back seat!

My most recent vehicle and first 4WD was a 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Had a lot of fun with that vehicle but I honestly just had this feeling it wasn't going to be something that lasted.
This weekend I just traded it in for a 2004 4 Runner Limited with over 130,000 miles on it so maybe my brain isn't in the right spot, but from everything I've read these vehicles should last. The thing I like is that even though the selection is limited there still are some aftermarket alternatives for winch bumpers, rock sliders, etc....
I plan on slowly building this vehicle into more of an expedition/overland rig vice anything too extreme.
