What Did you Pay for Your Trail

I paid 37K for my 2010 TE. Came with KDSS/NAVi, floor/cargo mats, ball mount, window tint, and paint protection film. I used USAAs Car Buying Service.

First, good luck finding a TE without KDSS. Second, you're probably better off keeping the 2010 SR5 and spending the money you would no doubt lose on the trade in doing a body conversion like harper7 did, suspension, tires etc. Look up his rig, its really nice. Besides, its your wife's vehicle does she even know of your diabolical plans?:bash:

almost none of the Trails in my area have KDSS (or Nav).

The Trails that I have found didn't have the KDSS. The cost of the body coversion is about what I would loose on a trade in for a Trail with KDSS. I was hoping I to break even on a Trail without KDSS.

Harper's rig looks good. Hopefully by the time my wife is ready to get a new truck somebody will have fiberglass fenders available so I can run a long travel kit. The KDSS would be worthless running a LT kit w/o a swaybar...
