What diff ratio do I have on a 2wd 2002 Auto

I wrote down my VIN today and how can I tell what you what my ratio is?

I remember there were two different ratios,and the specific ratio had to do with what the VIN ended in.

I stripped my Ring and pinion and I'm planning on getting the same R&P with a diff so I can just drop it in with the original shims,not sure if this is a good idea considering these gears could be more worn and not have the correct mesh.

If someone could tell me how to figure out what my diff ratio is for a 2002 2wd Automatic that would be great

The VINs don't tell you anything about gear ratios. The jack up and spin or crack open and count methods work but this tells you what it should have, provided you check the factory wheel/tire combo.

This subject has been done to death. The charts and guides are not 100%. The only way to be sure is to do what Gunner said and spin and count.

Use the search function, there are alot of threads about this.

Good boy. Too many people argue about charts when they could take that time to actually figure out their ratio.
