Those are the original rear heat lines if I am not mistaken. Mine were ripped out 5 years ago. If your rear heat still works then someone bypassed them with new hose.

That's what I thought given that I have no rear heat. I figured they removed it when the lines rusted through. I've seen the write-ups on replacing the lines. But what do the 2 in the picture tie into in the engine bay?

Make sure there is NO flow of coolant through A to B. If this happens hot coolant is (about 10%) cycles through the engine without running through a heat exchanger (radiator/heatercore)
