What do you guys think about this 4Runner?

I don't need 4WD, just lookin for 2WD. I haven't done a KBB on it or anything, but RELATIVELY (based on other prices I've seen out there), that's the best deal out there right now, esp cause of the lower mileage.

I was thinkin about askin $14.7k out the door, including TTL and all that fun stuff.

Once again I haven't looked at the KBB so help me out where appropriate =)
 
Looks like a pretty nice 4Runner. I thought it was kinda odd though that it doesn't have the rear spoiler (considering it's a Limited). And the Gold tone on the emblems would have to be a personal preference (if I was seeing it correctly). Not one that I care for. I don't think the price is too bad, but should definitely be able to work it down more. It looks like it's in good condition. Miles aren't bad...

If it's not too far for you, it may be worthwhile to go look at it.

Yeah the gold emblems aren't my favorite, but I suppose there are more important things to look at than those =)

How much does a spoiler install cost? Maybe I can get one throw in..

oh and I did a carfax on it and it was a lease vehicle. Does that help the value any? Never owned a lease vehicle, but don't they have stipulations for maintenance and stuff?
 
didn't know they still made them with tape decks. It looks clean and everything. Just keep on looking at craiglist. There is a new better offer everyday though. Ive seen as low as 13 for a 4wd 2005 with 40K miles so just keep lookin.

That's good and bad. If it's a corp. lease, run away. Far away. If a regular lease, still be cautious. I know some lease owners treat their cars like crap and do minimal maintenance. They're not going to own the car for more than 3 years, so they don't treat it like a car they'll own for a long time.
 
it looks pretty beat to me, but then i was fortunate enough to find a great seller on this very site.

i got really lucky with it and the car's been great. the interior even in pics looks pretty beat but then the car i bought was so nice i guess it's all relative, man.

it's been upgraded by me since then and i doubt i'll be selling mine anytime soon. good luck.
 
It didn't look very beat to me based on the pics, but maybe I'm not looking at the right things. What about it makes it look beat up to you? Only major thing I noticed was a scuff on the center console.

I thought there might be scratches on the front right by the headlight, but those turned out to be lightpole reflections.

replacing that center console is expensive and you can't just spot touch fix it because of the finish.

the leather seats look beat even on the passenger side. just doesn't look clean to me in comparison to my '03 with more miles.

the roof felt looks bad too. stained.

i may just have higher standards on what i define was a clean car, though.
 
imo....It is overpriced and gold packaged.
I bought a 2004 sport V8 4wd for about 13.5 plus ttl with under 60k miles this fall. But what do I know.
 
I'd be wary of buying a car from anyone named Shad Shadrix!

It does look nice. I just got an '05 Limi on the pricey side at 19k with 45k on it, but it was toyota certified and that extended the warranty on all drivetrain components until 100k.
 
Bid 13 5 sit back and hold firm. They will still be making a profit on it. Do it late on a weekday if you can. Make sure you see it in daylight though. If nothing else it will be good practice.

I'd say if Shad throws in some Mighty Putty and a couple of Sham Wows, the maintenace on the vehicle is solved....great deal!
 
Pass and find a 2006 for the same price/mileage. Obviously this would run more CPO's from a dealer but Ive seen some great deals on craigs and ebay. Shady Shadix would be a no go for me.

Wish I could find an 03 or 04 Sport 4wd V6 for that price with that mileage. Lately, they seem to be going up in price. But I would buy it today if I could find one.

When I seem to find one, it's got that ugly plastic fender and body treatment. Reminds me too much of the first Chevy Avalanches.
