What do You Guys Think?

In my personal opinion I like to be different and I think this look for my runner is very cool. I am not done yet . Still need to do some more stuff to make her look the way I want tho'...but I am getting there bit by bit.

Taking in consideration the look more than the performance or quality of the lightbulb. What do you guys think?...feel free to vote and leave a comment. I'll accept positive and negative comments. They all are welcome....lol...

In my opinion it would look better if you got rid of all the chrome and got it color matched gold, the grille, door handles, and chrome mirrors. Because the chrome is clashing with the blacked out headlights..

i too like to be different. she looks fine, but i bet it will look better with black wheels that have small chrome accents. i believe you were thinking about them , right?

those halos are Too Legite To Quite!!!! if my car didnt have the ugly plastic i would definitly get some!!

In my personal opinion, just mine, you can ignore me, it looks like crap. lol im sorry. It looks tunerific. I like chrome, but just for minor trim you know, dont go overboard. The gas door is one of those.

It shows that you care more about what it looks like than if it works. Take a good look at FoSheezy for future mods you might be considering. Although I would probably never do any of that, I think his runner looks pretty cool, and all of the stuff he has done funcions just as well as it looks, if not better. Some of the stuff he has done you cant even see.

Thanks for you ropinion ...matter of fact I am going to paint the gas door lid and the exhaust tip black....for now (maybe in the future the front grill that has the Toyota badge on it)... I just havent had enough time to do it......do you know what kind of paint I need for that matter?

Yeah...I have already chosen the ones that I am getting, just can't get them at the moment..I like yours tho' they are awesome!...

You should get a litf and some bigger tires. the rims I am getting supposely are offraoding rims...so I am gonna get a lift also when I put them on...

I am not ignoring your opinion ...thats why I posted this thread cuz I wanted to read as much opinions as I could get about it. Not that I am going to do what people are suggesting me to do, but it is always good to know others opinion and think about them. I am open minded sir.

Now.... about the performance of the Halos I do care about it thats why a HiD kit its on his way.

And about Fo_Sheezy's mods...hey... he got his own style and I respect him for that but..I am not a "copy cat" nor those type of "Monkey see.. Monkey do"
Like I said before I am not done yet with what I really want to do with my 4runner..besides Fo-Sheezy is a Man..and I am a lady...his rig is badass but to mean and dark for a lady.

Yeah, considering the look more than the performance, I voted "they are ok" and yes it looks just fine and attractive.
But, as I read above that you are going to get a HID, probably to compensate the light output you are experiencing now, I can say that the projector lens in that will scatter its beam. it will just look like a bright bulb installed, and if you will replace it with ordinary hallogen with high wattage, the inner plastic cover of the assembly will get burned easily, you will have haze in 3 months(from the inside).
My friend posted something like that in a forum, and he got many email offers for his original headlamp assembly.
Getting a Hid kit is always OK. While you have those in your truck , maybe you can send your OEM set to a member here for that "blackout" job. And incase in the future you will decide to go back to OEM headlight setup and have some silverstar ultra, osram nightbreaker or GE nighthawk bulbs on.

Again, it looks fantastic, but spending more in an aftermarket will end in a costly route.

Hi...I really appreciate your advice and thank you for taking your time and checking my girl. Well...to be honest with you...I have a very good vision at night and besides that...almost all my driving is during the daytime...now about the OEM headlights..yeah I am keeping them just in case. Matter of fact a few weeks ago I was about to black them out myself...took them apart and all..but I was to coward to go ahead and open the lenses and all that..so I decided to buy this ones better to see how it goes. If anything goes wrong with the halo's I will be putting the OEM's back on... blacked out tho'... I really think I can do that myself. Thanks to this forum I had learn a lot of stuff and realizing that most of the people here do their mods by themselves I figured I can do it too... at least the simple stuff rather than going to the shop...I have learn in about 4 months more than I could imagine. And I even worked before for autopart stores.

I wouldn't say I've got my own style, 99% of what I've done is an idea I've got from somebody else. For example, the blackout look, it has been around forever, aka "Murdered Out" That's the route I went with this 4Runner instead of all chrome. However, the only thing I can say that I've got that nobody else has are my blue HID's.. lol even though some members have messaged me asking about them, I do believe I was the first in the 4Runner community to get them.
