about to install cornfed 3/2 with FJ cruiser springs and I am stuck on which tire I should go with. I can't decide between 265/70/17 BFG all terrains or 285/70/17 Revo 2's or 255/75/17 BFG KM2. My 4runner is 2WD and I am never going to take it offroad I am just looking for a good(big) aggressive look and a good lift/tire ratio. From what I have read it sounds like I am going to have possible rubbing issues with 285's and power loss and I do not want to re-gear, and with the KM2's they are really loud and drop in MPG. And the BFG all terrains are $300 more than the other two. SOO if anybody has any ideas or pros/cons they wanna throw in that would be nice. thanks!

Kinda sounds like you answered your own question! If your never going off road, out of the three I'd go with the revos! If you want an aggressive look with good street manners, I have the nitto Terra grapplers and love them! They handle well and ride smooth and still look aggressive!

:iagree: first off, assumming those are the ONLY tires & sizes that you are considering, 2 are ATs, 1 an MT. one, i believe is d load, the other two are e, thats one thing to think about. the revo 1 looks more aggressive than the 2, with a 285, i don't think there will be a body mount trim needed, but you will need to at least move the inner fender forward, & trim the bottom tip of the bumper, & more than likely, have to do the same for the KM2 because of the MT tread. in my opinion, if your not going to add other mods to make your 4r look more offroad, (lights,slders,etc.) dont get the KM2 unless a "truck" like ride appeals to you. so the revo would be a better choice for street driving only,& handle better in all weather conditions. but if you can , get the 1 not the 2 (less aggressive looking). (tirerack still sells 1s). the nittos are great, also consider them before the KM2, theres almost always some kind of trade off when going with larger tires, so you'll get the look u want, but need a heaiver foot on the pedals, (both gas & brake) & get less mpg , ur speedo will be off , (somewhere around 5-6 or so mph), rolling resistance is increased, etc. goodluck

I heard that E load drives like a dump truck which I dont prefer so does the revo 285 come in something different? I don't mind a little loss in MPG but its the power loss I am kinda worried about with the 285s because I dont have the V8. ARe there any mods I can do besides re-gearing that would help out with power loss? I just want to make sure I don't end up regreting which tire I go with since I will have them for a couple years. by the way thanks for replying it seems like everytime I post something on here I only get like 2 replys...

:iagree: The 285/70/17 was my last tire and I have zero complaints about it. You will be happy with the way it looks and the way it drives. Remove your front mudflaps and you will be good to go. You may also want to get a set on spidertrax as well. I never did but I did experiance a small amount of rubbing on the UCA's

atxsmoke a thon, i have have e load & like em. they are heavier but todays compounds make them streetable, to me they dont ride "dump truck" like, but do make the 4r ride a like a truck, which is why i bought it. if i wanted a car like ride , id of bought a car. but thats me, im use to having truck tires on 4x4, passenger tires on cars. the revo, in 285 are d load, im not sure you can get that size in "c" as for power loss, you can get a true flow xdi & magaflow catbac to help that out. heres a link for the cai. http://www.goairfilters.com/search_...ke+Filter+Assembly&Description=XDI+Air+Intake
