I am in the search for tires and as you all know there are a small selection of stock tires (225/75r15) out there. My truck is used as a daily driver with mild off roading and snow wheeling every now and again. So I was wondering would 215/75/15s look silly? I don't plan on lifting it anytime soon. I can get a set of BF T/A ko(lt 215/75/15) new cheap.

I appreciate all opinions, good and bad! LOL

Thanx,

Its a 89 stock. I have tried to search in the "search" tool but it seems everyone wants to up size to 31's etc. I don't trailer more than a yard trailer, mostly city driving. Money is tight and the price is right on the tires.

Thanx.

Go for it then. They will be really skinny and tall, but help with gas mileage. You might want to look up 1st gens with 215's or 225's so you know what the look will be. I don't prefer them, but are more economical and cheap.

A 215/75R15 will be shorter and skinnier than a 225/75R15. So the vehicle would lose a bit of ground clearance. The engine RPM will be a bit higher, for any given actual road speed. The 'Runner would likely feel a little peppier with the lower overall gearing.

If that size meets your needs, then I'd say get them.
