What do all of you keep in your rigs in terms of tools, survival gear, and accessories while offroading?

Any items you wish you had on the trail?

Feel free to include brands of items & items you have used and would not recommend.

Depends on what I going to be doing. Generally I have a tire plug kit, jump box, a Truckers Friend, Leatherman, flashlight and a fairly complete first aid kit. :driving:

I currently have 2 tow straps, a bucket o tools with basic hand tools, a big friendly hammer, fix a flat, spare motor oil, spare transmission fluid, WD-40, radiator stop leak, abc fire extiguisher, HD jumper cables, waterproof matches, shovel, good knife, spare shackles, and a good phone charger.

I am ordering a EMT first aid kit (I have some EMT training), 2 person sleeping bag(to keep dog warm as well hehe), tire plug kit, hi lift jack, and MRE's.

I carried all that in my FJ, once I built shelving unit it'll all go in to the 4runner.

In my cargo box one side holds, 2 first aid kits, emergency blanket, extra clothes, shoes and jacket for each member of the family. Maps, flashlights, TP, paper towels, trash bag/shopping bag, blanket, lighter, bag of snacks. Thats one side.

The other side holds jumper cables, oil, windex, water, socket set, wrench set, tent stakes, lots of rope/different kinds, 2 D-rings, D-rings hitch receiver, fire extinguisher, 1 ton jack stand, folding shovel, gloves, zip ties. I'm sure there's more its just too early to think about everything thats in there.

The hi lift is bolted to the top of the cargo box and an air compressor on the side.

I'm planning on getting 2 Fire extinguishers, a large fixed blade knife and a 1st aid kit, along with recovery gear like straps and winching gear.

No I don't carry a cell phone or have a CB radio - neither work once more than a few miles away from a town or interstate highway around here. Northern Nevada is very unpopulated once anywhere north or east of Reno.

On trips of more than 250 miles I will add a couple of five gallon Gerry Cans of fuel; more fluids for the truck; more clothing; more food; and whatever else the terrain might warrent.

In my EDC bag, an array of first aid, 6 water bottles, bunch of luna bars, several ways to start a fire, two flash lights, water tablets, bright garbage bags, solar blanket, warm/bright clothes, compass, q-tips, toothpicks, bunch of different otc medicine, lots of 550 cord, batteries, knifes (fixed blade tanto and a fixed blade ceramic coated), leatherman, microfibers, long industrial zip ties, contact lenses & glasses, I'm sure I am missing several things. (I don't need to pack anything for a camping trip or getaway as this all stays in my car full time)

I also carry a bunch of tools. Full mechanics tool set (1/4, 3/8, 1/2), two drills w/bits, several pliers and different hand tools, tape, mechanic gloves, leatherman, and a long breaker bar.

I keep 3 sets of different work gloves, 4 ratchet straps, and a tire repair kit in the rear side panel. I also keep my 12v air compressor and some recovery straps in the back. I keep my nice gloves, two flashlights and a leatherman up front with me.

I firmly believe that it is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I have multiples of a lot of things in case one breaks/ gets lost, or in case I am not alone or need to help someone else.
