What do you like about you're 4 Runner?

Man that's a tough question. When I was looking to purchase, I was torn between this 4th gen, and a 3rd gen. sport. I loved the rugged exterior of the 3rd gen, but i could not get over how plain the interior looked, so the nice interior of the 4th gen was the deciding factor! :)

from my test drive of a V8 limited, I like the way it felt, like a tank(good thing) I love the little details that Toyota thought of over all it is a well thought out vehicle and well worht the money and just blows away the compition.

sounds like youve already made up your mind! id say my favorite thing about it, is the dependability of the truck. as long as you take care of it, it will take care of you.

I like all of the small details that so many other companies leave out. It just makes you feel like you are driving an excellent quality vehicle. I tell all of my friends about them, but they just think that they are small items that are no big deal. After living with them, there is no way that I could go back.

My favorite has to be the autostart thing. Other cars just drive me crazy any more.

I like an engine and drivetrain that gives me excellent mileage and decent power combined with reliability not found in too many vehicles.

My '90 is a compact vehicle, manouvers wonderfully, is stable at highway speeds, superbly off-road capable, and still cleans up nice and looks good.

It fits all of my family, hauls enough gear to go camping with the family, has an excellent build quality (no squeaks or rattles at 220,000 miles!)

Plus I like the looks of it. I have owned vehicles that had their good pojnts, but were ugly to my eye: I just owned them because it filled a need when I needed it.

I think a better question is, what DON'T you like about your 4runner.

I have a 98, I've had it for about two years now. I got it with 98,000 miles on it. I've never had a problem with it, not even a minor one.

First of all, I absolutely LOVE the body of the third gens, even more so than the 4th gens. It's just a beautiful truck. Plus, you're guaranteed that it'll be dependable cause it's a Toyota.

There's plenty of space in all seats and a lot more cargo space in the back. I've had people tell me my backseats are the most comfortable they've sat in.

I don't think there's an SUV that looks better with aftermarket products, maybe I'm biased, but it's just a beautiful thing. Maybe a Denali or Escalade has a little bit of an edge cause they are the ultimate luxury SUV.

Plus, the back window going down is about as cool as it gets...even if it does let a nice sulfuric, exhausty smell when you mash the gas. :p

V8, 5speed and X-reas:) nothing else comes close to the 4Runner in this price range, even the Pathfinder lacks;):

They have a proven track record for low cost dependablity and the new ones have all of the high tech options that come on more expensive vehicles. With the advent of platform sharing and the sharing of other components with the GX470 you end up with a lot of bang for the buck. If you need a dependable go anywhere vehicle that can haul/tow your junk around and do it for not much money the 4runner is hard to pass up.

I've probably read every word you posted in here and you really like the 4Runner, maybe alittle to much;): you sure Toyota is not giving you a kickback:D

I read all of the reviews and look at all of the new vehicles and most just look at ride and surface stuff not long term quality and dependablity. The purchase of my 4runner makes me feel smart and I don't get that feeling very often :)

I LOVE my 4R. The other SUVs that I was considering before buying my 4R were (in preferred order): used '02-'03 BMW X5 4.4i sport, Lexus RX330, Nissan Murano, Infiniti FX35, Acura MDX, Honda Pilot. NO REGRETS WHATSOEVER! I wouldn't trade my baby for any of these other vehicles.

My 2nd gen will go anywhere and do anything.... except 70mph on uphill on-ramp. It never breaks down and is always there... now if i could just find a girl like that...

I like:
- her soft silky paint,
- those sharp looking lines that says "i'm beautiful, yet very capable"
- the beautiful complexion of the exterior body, those soft, yet warm, leather seats that cradle your body
- the rear window that seemlessly rolls all the way down with the push of a button
- the heart of a V8, the soul of a Toyota.

what more could you ask for? :D

happy valentines.
