Some people complain about the new steering wheel, but I actually love the new 'electric' steering wheel toyota put in our new Runners. It makes steering effortless when compared to my '03 Pathfinder.

I have the TE and I love the stiff, stiff, glue-on-wheels handling. It rides so freaking well on the highway and handles all the crap I throw at it off road.

Just love it!

Also, probably the iPod connector.
 
I will answer my own question. I drove the RX. It was an impressive ride, but it had absolutely 0 testosterone. The Limited reminds me of the Lexus, but with a stiffer ride, and plenty of balls. I also love being part of something. That something would be the 4 Runner community. I do enjoy this forum, and the passion that the owners bring.

I love the bluetooth! So nice not to hold a &*%^ phone while driving! I love how fast the heat warms the 4R in the winter. I love that I can lower the rear window to fit larger items. I love how 'high' I sit in the 4R vs my last SUV. I'm sure there are more, but those are just a few to start.
 
I'm right with you guys. I am completely OCD, and I usually find something wrong with anything new I buy. Not this truck. I'm loving it! The purpose for my thread was to see if others were feeling the same way, or am I overcoming my OCD?:banana:
 
Ditto. I love everything now. I swapped my Limited 20" wheels for a set of 17's off a 2010 FJ Cruiser. I saw that somebody else did this on this forum and I have to say I LOVE it. My opinion is it looks and handles much better.
 
Congrats on your new Runners

I have a 2003 Limited that I absolutely love. It has 46,000 miles and a V8 so I will be driving it for a long time to come. When I first heard about the changes to the new 5th gen I was worried, but you all seem to love yours. That is great! There is general concern about Toyota quality going down. Do any of you see it?

Mechanically, it seems like a very sound truck. I thrashed mine across dolly sods (rough terrain in WV) and it took it like a champ. The doors feel tinny when opened, but overall I'm very, very pleased with the truck.

My favorite thing about the truck might be the steering wheel... or the roll down rear glass... or the smell of the leather seats. :) I could go on.

The streaming bluetooth is wicked. Really pleased with that.

You know, man, I have a theory....First, let me say that the quality of this truck is superb. I really believe that. Everything on my truck works exactly as it should, and the thing is rock solid and tight--EXACTLY AS A 4 RUNNER SHOULD BE!!! Anyway, my theory goes back to 2001 when I purchased my RAV4--Still have it after 150,000 absolutely trouble free miles. At that time, the Internet Forums were really kicking in. A billion people *****ed about the RAV. I was certain that the thing would explode before I saw 25,000 miles. Know what? It didn't. In fact, that thing is pure legendary Toyota--built to last. It isn't a beater either. It is tight and quiet. Sure, the occasional thing has needed replacing or servicing, but it has been incredible--as I suspect the 4 Runner will be as well. The bottom line is this---The Internet has enabled all of us to share the pluses and minuses of everything. There are no more secrets about the vehicles we buy. Yes, a rattle here should be a rattle for somebody else if the manufacturing processes are consistent. In the old days, nobody knew about a rattle because there was no way to share, so everybody just kept quiet--That, for some, is when Toyota quality was at its high point. I really believe that the quality has not fallen off one bit. We are talking more, and so things seem to be different in a negative way because that, my friend, is human nature--to be pissy and negative. My God, if we just sat on this Forum and talked about how perfect everything was, it would get pretty boring. So, blah, blah, blah...the 4 Runner, in my mind, is truly exceptional. Not only because of how excellent it is, but how excellent it is in an environment where we have a chance to share, and what we are sharing for the most part is very, very positive.

You're totally right Ryan. I was watching a video on the new Explorer and came to an epiphany, the reasons why I've always liked and finally bought a 4Runner. It's always been a great vehicle to customize, lots of toys and aftermarket parts, great off-road and on road performance, a vehicle that's perfect for weekend camping trips but also great taking me to work on the weekdays. But the crowning jewel has always been reliability.

I love the leather, NAV and most important the quiet. After owning Jeep Wranglers for 15 years, there's nothing like being able to talk on the phone and hear your stereo on road trips.
 
This is my first Toyota and I have to say my favorite thing is how well the 4Runner seems to be put together. Nothing rattles, nothing squeaks, etc.
 
I like the incredible deal that the SR5 is.

My 2010 4wd SR5 is my second 4runner. My first was a 1998 base model. Back then a SR5 was a step up. Now it is the base model and sells for about what I paid way back then for a 4cyl 4wd. Considering inflation this is an incredible bargain. There are a few areas where the quality is less than my old vehicle, but there are lots of areas where it is much improved: the engine, the ride quality, various electronic driving improvements. I am happy with my new 4runner and hope this forum can help me to upgrade those areas where it is less than perfect.
 
I'm glad to hear all those good things. I'm getting my first 4runner, currently have a troublesome GMC Jimmy. Vehicle due into dealer 4,Aug.:bravo:
