How do you know most of them will be tried here in the u.s.? Either way, it's out of our control. I'm just tryin' to show you the other side of the argument. How do you feel about Bush and his use of our tax dollars? If there was a huge prison where americans were being held for suspected terrorism and tortured, mistreated, etc. You would be all over the closing. And guess what the other country would say? Those americans are no good, they don't deserve to be released.

Well, where would they be tried? From all the reports that i have read, most (if not all) of them will be tried here.

When did i ever say that Bush was a great president? Is he as bad as what RonM thinks?? Probably not. So far, Obama's stimulus plan does not seem like it will solve our problem anytime soon and may indeed make us worst off. Who knows...time will tell.

Heh, i never said that you liked/thought well of President Bush, reread my post. I simply implied that a waste of tax payer money is all relative, as is politics.

Bush was brought up to make a point. No president is going to use all of your tax money wisely nor will he be perfect in judgement. Nitpicking that stuff isn't going to get us anywhere.

I did NOT vote for Obama nor did I vote for McCain. But I am liking Obama more and more...we'll have to see what happens.

IMO a great president is one that will closely follow the Constitution. Time change but human nature doesn't change, our forefathers are grand-scholar who obviously know what they were doing. The US will, to our dismay, eventually fall on it own power just as any other great power in history. How fast does that happen probably have little to do with external factor (i.e. terrorist) but more so with how close we are following the great Constitution that the forefather has put in place for us.

If you want a constitutionalist, Obama is not your guy. I doubt that very much of what he wants to do is outlined in Article I, Section 8 (enumerated powers).

Don't like him, don't trust him, didn't vote for him! I think he is changing too much too fast. So far, he has lived up to my expectations. I still pray that he can fix our economy and DECREASE the unemployment rate. I agree we need some sort of change in this country, but Obama is too much. I still can't get over how much was spent on his inauguration with what is going on.

I remember reading a fiction book called the "The Crash of 79". It came out around 1977 and in the book, the jobs dried up, but the president started printing lots of money with all of these stimulus programs. Eventually, McDonalds realized that with prices rising so fast, the products coming in would cost more than he was selling them for and they decided to close their doors. I know it was only a cheesy book, but inflation or even hyper-inflation would be a concern of mine. Of course spending a trillion dollars last year on the banks and another .8 trillion now, on top of our already bloated budget is not considered big spending, then maybe we will be OK.
