what electric fan controller are you guys using?

Alright so I have a dual fan set up in my truck now. The fans came out of a 98 for Taurus. One fan is like 13 1/2 inches and the other is 12. I bought a fan switch from auto zone and it broke. It was the probe in radiator type with an adjustable turn on temperature. I didnt like it for a bunch of reasons so I am looking for a different one. Wanted to know what everyone else was using. I would post a pic of the set up but I can't from my phone. I do however have one in my profile pics. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I saw a few on summits website , there's a few to chose from with a lot of options . I never got around to tacking my electric fan project so I can't help u much more. G/luck

Very interested in this as well...I once heard that on chevy 1500's, you gain 10hp (not to mention mpg's) when you lose the engine driven fan, dont know how true that is but im interest to see if it would have similar results on a 4runner.

Has anyone gone this route and noticed improvement? If not are there anyother benefits im overlooking. Tired a search but came up with nothing

I would also like to know if anyone has switched to electric fans for a HP gain.

I assume it is not advised or more people would be doing it.
