What else do I need to do?

OK, so I've been doing a ton of maintenance lately on my 2000 4 runner SR5 V6 with 122K. So far I have,

1) Had the tranny flushed

2) Had oil change of course (every 5000K)

3) Drained transfer case and added lube and synthetic additive

4) Did same to both diff's.

4) New air filter

5) New fuel filter

6) New spark plugs (wires were still good)

7) New battery connections (fixed problem in earlier post)

8) Rotating tires today.

9) I will be getting the timing belt kit done in Jan. and will have a coolant flush done at that time as well.

10) Lubed all zerks.

11) Cleaned it inside and out.

Anything else I may want to look at doing to keep this thing running to 300K?

I would still do spark plaug wires. They may look ok but they break down internally. Also I would look at a real fuel injection cleaning. At our shop we use a 3 step BG process and it works wonders. Check your brake fluid and see if it is dark.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not at all comfortable with working on my own breaks. The fluid is dark. If it's as simple as using a little pump andpulling out the old fluid and then refilling the system I can do that, but bleeding the brakes is something I don't care to mess with. A car that won't run is one thing, a car that won't STOP is alltogether another.

I looked at how the new battery cables would connect to the 4 runner (not the battery) and was a bit confused on what all I need to buy. It looked like it went into some sort of a white plastic thing. It's a 2000 V6 SR5.
