what else to replace with timing belt ?

my t4r has 132,000 miles and i am gonna do the timing belt and water pump. i have already replaced the belts, plugs, and wires about 6 months ago, what else do you replace along with the timing belt and water pump ?

the only other thing may be the pulleys check those as well.

check the 2 cam seals a the crank seals, since your in there you might as well change them before they leak (if there not leaking already), and the thermostat.

should i replace the idler bearing and tensioner bearing also ?

i wouldnt unless there not working properly. The tensioners are costly.

I did mine recently at 120k (first time it was done.) Although I did the tensioner and both idlers, there was no need--they looked good to go for another round. I bought the seals but did not put them in when there was no sign of leakage. I did do the thermostat and I recommend that.

The tensioner, aside from being expensive, makes for a bigger job. You have to take the A/C unit off (which is a minor PIA) and you can't use the Blue Point tool, so keep that in mind. I definitely would leave that one if I had it to do over. I won't do it next time (since it's new now). Next time, if idlers or tensioner look bad, I'll put the ones I took out back in. Otherwise, they'll stay.

x2 on the thermostat....cheap insurance.
