Maybe he got sick of some people on this forum insistently claiming that a solid front axle is better than independent front suspension. I can see it happening. Just say’n.

I was wondering the same.
I checked and found that his website is still up, though it doesn’t look like any new content since last year.
I wonder if he simply burned out. I once had a popular and large website that I had online between 1999 and 2012. It was 4x4 and history oriented, focusing on the Great Basin (Nevada, eastern California). Juggling a job, a disabled wife and creative content can be a heavy load. Finally I had enough and put my priorities where they belonged. If he burned out, I can emphasize with him.

I was thinking about him also Rack. Hope he chimes in. Good idea starting this thread. As I recall, his wife was very sick. He had great videos and seemed like a genuinely nice guy. Hope all is ok.

...Ray is a terrific guy...and creates gorgeous videos...but I'm fairly certain he is taking care of his wife..and concentrating on that instead of being on here at the moment?....My thoughts go out to him and his wife...
