what floor jack do you guys use with a 3-4 inch lift?

Yeah, I know it's in the sigs--but I wasn't sure you guys, and future readers, were focused on the tire size, rather than the lift. It does take a few inches beyond contact to reach full droop and clear the tire. To be absolutely sure 21" will do your rig, you might want to test jack to see what the jacked distance needs to be to actually lift the tires. I have some to spare with my tires, but I'm thinking 285's are close. Gonna say I think you're OK, but I'm not positive. You'd need to go 1.1" higher than I do, I figure.

It's enough for me--I go off-road to GET to beautiful places, not for the trail itself. Usually we're hiking after we park the rig. Two-footed drive still beats wheels in the tough spots. In the East, it's more mud, sand and snow (and Brazil, just mud and sand) than the rocks you guys play in. I'd love to try it someday, though...looks like a lot of fun.

i'm right there with you, i go till the trail ends and i can't go any further then start walking, it's funny though people don;t ever think of washington as having any desert, but i assure it does, with some rock crawling as well not to mention some of our trails have boulders right in the middle of them so yeah had to go big or go home, lol
