Just wanted to get some thoughts on what you guys are putting in them
trucks (esp trans fluid) whats the best and whats your thoughts on
mixing trans fluid

Brakes pads any good feedback on aftermarket stuff or stick with oem
esp the rear brake shoes (any good aftermarket out there)
anyone know the key to adjusting the rear shoes maybe ease that
touching braking that is prevalent with the 4runners

I prefer to stick oem 90% of the time unless price is drastically different

I use OEM transmission, diff and transfer oils. OEM oil filters. I use conventional Castrol GTX motor oil. For brakes I usually buy Raybestos products.

Redline synthetic in 90w for the diffs and transfer case. I have a 5 speed so I use Red Line MT90 in the transmission.

Air filter is a True Flow and brakes are all Toyota OEM. My rears got soaked in gear oil when my rear axle seals went and I replaced them with OEM ones. They were kind of expensive but have showed great wear in the 3 or 4 years I've had them installed.

I use nothing but 100% synthetic (Amsoil) which is all I have used in every car I have owned since 1977.
I replace ALL fluids with 100% synthetic, trans, engine, gear.

I'm using Valvoline Max Life in both my tranny and Engine Oil. Using a Puralator oil filter, which is quite handy to get on/off because of it's texture. Wix for the engine air filter.

I'm going to put a set of Wagner Thermoquiet pads on this weekend. I've read a lot of good reviews on here.
