what gaskets?

Hey there, what gaskets should i replace if i have to replace one of my injectors, i know that im going to have to replace some gaskets but dont know which ones, they sell full gasket sets on ebay for like 100 bucks but they include a **** ton of gaskets i might not ever need. but anyways do you guys know if a refurbished injector would work as well? idk i dont want to spend 150 on a new injector when i can get one for 50 thats been remanufactured, but just wanting to know if anybody has any experience on the subject, i plan on doing a build thread once i get all the stuff in just because i cant find one on injector replacement. thx guys

Dont get fleabay gaskets.. Go to your dealer.

You never know the quality, and just becuase it says OEM doesn't mean its true OEM.

If you are only doing the injector(s) you will need two intake upper plenum gaskets, and the "o" rings and seat mounts for the injectors themselves. I can replace them in about 30 minutes at work with proper tools. I'd say its a 1-1 1/2 hour job.

first of all replacing the injectors shouldnt cause you to have to replace any gaskets that I can think of...(see post below, correction for that last statement)

the upper and lower plenum are metalish and probably just fine... mine were fine at 205k or so...

if you do do a bigger job while you have it apart... True, do not use the Ebay gaskets...
the gaskets you can get from Advance autoparts are made by the same company that Toyota gets them from and they are cheaper.

I bought both when I did SnowRunner and my Head gaskets, compared them and returned most of the toyota ones. the only ones I had to keep from Toyota were the actual bolt gaskets that you can see on the top of the cylinder head... no aftermarket store had them.

oops, yep, the O rings and seat mounts... see, this is why I should always read the whole thread before opening my mouth LOL

thanks alot guys, i really appreciate it. my 4r is my daily driver and ive been without it for a while and i cant wait to start driving again! i just hope that the injector is the problem not something else, my ce light says code p304 and ive changed coil packs, replaced wires and plugs to no avail. idk where to go after this lol.
