What gauge speaker wire?

I've been looking around trying to figure out what gauge speaker to use. Here is my planned setup. I've got an Alpine PDX-5 that I'm going to use to run my fronts, rears, and subwoofer. I was planning on using 16g wire for everything, but I've been reading that I may want to use 12g for loads above 150 watts.

Any suggestions/advice?

Amp placement will be under the passenger's seat.

16 is fine all around. I used 14 myself and have a cable run of less than 18 inches going to my sub. Distance is the bigger issue but this should give you way too much info to help make your decision eace: Personally I would go with the heavier gauge for the sub

I ended up buying some 16g for the speakers, and some 12g for the sub. I figure that it might be overkill, but it should be good enough.

16 gauge will work fine for the amount of power you are running, I am currently running 12 Gauge to the speakers and 8 Gauge to the sub, my philosophy is if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing...
