What gear do y'all carry when going offroad?

When going off road, what do you carry with you? Tools? Recovery gear? Do any of y'all carry spare parts with you? I am pretty new to off roading but I am wondering what you guys carry when travelling on isolated trails. Thanks!

Both [MENTION=124101]Chim[/MENTION] and [MENTION=10169]TheDurk[/MENTION] make good points; keep in mind there isn't an all inclusive kit for stuff to take when wheeling. Typically I bring my snatch strap, shackle, jumper cables, tool boxes, tire plug kit, toilet paper/wipes, food/water, personal protection devices, trauma kit/first aid bag, shovel & fluids just to name a few. The list goes on & on. Carrying spare parts isn't a bad idea at all, but keep in mind that a trail side repair might not always go as planned. A good communication setup would be excellent to have, like a HAM radio or even a basic CB setup.

I'd definitely encourage searching through the different threads to see what you can find. It's all good, nothing to lose sleep over. Personal protection devices = firearm, ammunition, knives... and good looks on the HAM setup. If I had a license I'd probably invest in one. At least a miniature handheld one. I think it would be excellent to have in super exigent circumstances.
