Did the assembler put them together incorrectly?

I dunno about ome, but that happened with my shocks and it made a pretty nasty clunking noise and wasnt right.

So I don't think so.

I'm going to regret asking this but does the bushing that's currently under the spring seat belong on the top? There was one new bushing included with each strut.

EDIT: Looks like I have my answer. Time to talk to a manager...

here's the issue explained. as one poster says...I wouldn't drive it too hard or do any flexing until the issue is resolved.

Not sure if the OME kits come with new bushings or not, maybe someone with an OME setup can chime in. But you could reuse the old bushing til you get a replacement. The bushing and washer hold the strut in the tophat when the suspension extends.

Missing top bushing

Based on how high the shock rod is, it looks like the bottom bushing underneath the top hat is also missing...perhaps?

I'd tell the to take it completely out and check all the washers and bushings in both sides.

Excellent. So the cushions go underneath and the bushing on top.

Since I don't care to have the shop try to fix this, does the assy Have to be removed completely again?

I think I'm going to punch baby seal

I would think that if you just need the top bushing and washer, you could undo the top nut, slide the bushing and washer on(assuming there's clearance) and tighten down the nut. If you need a little room, jack the truck frame up just enough to gain that clearance?

I am almost certain the new bushings are under the top hat because the old cushions are still on the xreas fronts.

If that's the case I'm pretty sure whole assembly will have to come out. If it were me, I'd take it back to the shop, watch them fix it and properly reassemble it, ask for some sort of refund for time lost on your part, and then never go to the shop again.

Got a sping compressor, something I wish I had done from the get go. No way do I want them touching my truck.

Thanks for your help, btw.
