Anyone ever been pulled over for drivin with your non-driving lights on the streets or highway?...is it ticketable?...or a warning?...or to the discretion of the cop?...

You talking the large racing/off road only use lights that bolt onto a brush gaurd? Yeah, it's ticketable, they aren't street legal and would be a moving violation. But, as long as no one is watching, have fun. I bolted on a set to my old Supra in it's final years and loved flipping those things on when out in the country backroads

cuz i get off work @ 3am...and with all the snow piled up in Denver...its nice to be able to see ruts and crap further down the road...nobody is out then anyways...plus im a bouncer...so i can usually use that to get outta the ticket...

I have the 550's and mounted them in my lower grill, never had trouble driving with them on.

Depends on a couple of things... 1) How much traffic is on the road? 2) What kind of mood the officer is in when they pull you over. You could get away with it, or you could get a fine/ticket for using non-street legal devices. I think it also depends on how they are aimed/mounted. I had them on my Jeep for years without any problems, but the people who had them on the rood always got into trouble.

55 watt driving lights are road legal. Anything with a higher wattage is illegal ofr on road use.
In most states, you can't have more that 4 lights on at the same time (not referring to turn signals or such). Just throwing that out there...

That is what I should have said, any wattage(including those high output headlamp replacement lamps that go 80/100watt)above 55 are illegal to use while on road. Driving with your brights on when there is oncoming traffic is also illegal.sharp4runr said:
