what is a retrofit worth?

What makes the kit "drop in"?

I know there are many different setups but I thought they are all pretty similar, just some have better components.

but i am planning on doing another retrofit down the road, and dont get me wrong i absolutely love these headlights! i can even imagine my headlights being even better than what the are, but I am going to go with a bigger projector, like the FX-R or something similar.

The only down fall that (i think) these Morimoto projectors have is that they screw in and im always afraid that some how the nut that holds it on will come loose and i will have to take these things all apart again.

Anyway it is by far one of the best things you can do to improve your night viability without threatening other drivers.

Funny timing on this thread - I have a brand-new complete Morimoto D2S bi-xenon retrofit kit and brand-new Eagle Eyes aftermarket 99-02 headlights that I bought for my retrofit setup.

I'm looking for a decently-priced HID retrofitting service, otherwise I'm going to try and do it myself or just sell the whole setup.

Hey GottaBeTRD, if you ever sell your Retrofit to do another, hit me up! Maybe we can work out a trade like.. my stocker glass housings+ cash for your complete setup.. Next year though, my bank account is on lockdown for snowboard season.

Yeah, that is a worry I have with the D2S as well. That's why I locktite the threads and JB weld the projector in place. Also add a layer of caulking.

All this talk is making me anxious.... next week I'm FINALLY ordering my own setup: FX-R 2.0 projectors, Philips bulbs, Apollo shrouds and some special "bling" to go along with it! I'll post a thread once I get rolling on it!
