What is "Diamond Glass Upgrade"?

I think it is some sort of headlight upgrade. I don't have it, but am also curious.

The diamond upgrade is the film that goes over the windows to help repel water. I have it on my windows.

It is kind of a "perminent" rain-x for the windows.

Thanks for "clearing" this up! So does it last? I thought our 4Runners had some sort of treatment embedded in the glass?

a couple of guys on here say that there windows have some sort of "film" that help repels the water. Who knows. All i know is the one that the rig that i got, came on it. Apparently someone else had ordered the truck and backed out at the last minute.

So i was stuck with it. Personally, i wouldn' have gotten it on the windows but the other guy did. then the dealership told me that i had to pay for it, so i told them to go ef themselvs. Well, not really, i just told them to take out the windows that it had it on, and replace them with the windows that didn't have it on there, then i would take the truck. I wasn't going to pay ,however much more for that option, but they gave it to me for "free". Don't get me wrong, it def. works, i just don't know if it was worth the x-tra money.

In fact, chunderboy, yours is one of the sigs that I remember seeing and wondering...what is that??

Now I know...don't think I have it on mine...going to have to get out the window 'sticker' and look at the extra 'stuff' mine came with...see that you (chunderboy), also have listed an 'upgraded dealer alarm system'. What is that, if you don't mind??

To be honest, i have no efing idea. It was one of the things the guy had put on prior to me taking ownership of it.

Ya know, that is really a good question. It is called VIP or something like that. Now you got me wondering
