What Is It Worth??

I miss having a pickup truck. I'm thinking about selling my loaded 2011 LTD with 8,000 miles on it.

Kind of tough to nail down a good place to start with a price for a private sale. Clean title, no bumps or dings, all highway miles. I'm in Phoenix which is a good market for these things.

Where would you start?

Recently a member sold his 2010 Blizzard Pearl 4runner Limited 4x4 with Toytec Ultimate Lift, Light Racing UCA's, BFG KO 285/70/17 for $36,750. That price included the lift / tires etc. That might serve as a point of reference.

Although I don't think I'll be selling my truck in the next decade, I'm always curious to see what they are still valued at.

Good luck to you if you sell.

It's only worth what someone is willing to pay. I think you'll find that if you are trying to sell to a private party and you are asking say between $2 & 3k for a vehicle with 8k miles (albeit low miles) of what it could be had for new, I think you may have some problems selling. If I were in the market for a late model used T4R, and that's exactly where I was last year it would have to be a very good deal before I'd be interested. I did look at one used 2009 and one 2010 and they wanted basically new car price, so I decided to buy new.

I'd say $35 ish. You're taking a hit no matter what you do. I hope its paid off and you haven't been paying the banks interest on something you didn't plan on keeping.

Basically you are asking how much the value of a vehicle depreciates when you drive it off the lot.

Even though I can't wait to buy a new vehicle someday, that whistling $$$ sound when I sign the papers and drive away is going to kill me.

I agree 35k would be a good price.

I'm guessing your truck listed for 43k. Deals can be had on a new one for 38-39k. You need to have enough of an incentive to make someone choose yours over a new one.

One idea would be to negotiate an extended warranty into the deal. They can be had on here for 1k or less.

If I were to look at an almost new car, pull the service records and know that it comes with a 6 year/125k bumper to bumper warranty, then it would be an attractive deal over a new car.

Give us more details, does it have navigation, what other options? What color is it? Is it 4x4?

I sold my Trail for that same exact amount last Tuesday. With all the extra goodies as well.

What color is the interior? I may be interested if you can sell it for 34K. I live in Lake Havasu City, Az and can pay cash. It would be for my wife and I would get her 03. Did you get the windsheild fixed from an old post of yours? My problem is I have been cutting down the 5th gens for 2 years for some of the same reasons you state, mostly the power at low speeds. My wife needs a new car so I would be interested only if the price is right. Are you still in Phoenix?

Black leather. Not ideal in AZ, but I bought it in Michigan. The heated seats probably aren't necessary either.

The swipe across the windshield from the wind blown sign has dissipated...I didn't do anything; it just kind of went away. There is a pinhead sized superficial ding from a rock. I took a picture of it but it doesn't really show up well. It's too small to fill.

I don't know that 34 is the right number, but if you want to get a hold of me you can reach me at kind dot stranger at yahoo dot com. I'm in the east valley.
